Monocle Prism AI Terms
- Effective date:
- October 27, 2026
Monocle Prism is a trade name of We'll Do It LLC. These AI Terms form part of the Terms of Service and apply to Monocle AI wherever it appears: the web app, the desktop app, Monocle Browser, the browser extension and Monocle Tap.
1. What Monocle AI is
Monocle AI is the assistant built into Monocle Prism. It answers questions, drafts and rewrites text, summarizes, searches inside your workplace, and, when you confirm, carries out actions in your workplace. It works with the information the person using it is allowed to see.
2. Models
2.1 Default model. The default model is provided by Anthropic and processed in the United States. We may change the default model; if the change affects where data is processed or who processes it, we will update the sub-processor list first.
2.2 Other models. Paid plans can choose other models, which use credits. The default model is processed in the United States. Some other models, and some background features that use Claude (documents, contracts, research), may be processed outside the United States. We list each model's processing location in the sub-processor list. A model a workplace connects with its own key, or hosts itself, runs wherever that provider or owner runs it.
2.3 Providers we allow. We offer only AI providers and tiers whose business terms, as we have reviewed them, do not allow them to train their models on what we send. Tiers that may train on customer data are not offered and cannot be connected.
2.4 We'll Do It LLC does not use your workplace content or your AI requests to train AI models.
3. Included AI and credits
3.1 Everyday AI (included). On every paid plan, everyday AI on the default model (answering, help, search in Monocle Prism, rewrites and short drafts) is included under fair use, without using credits. Choosing a stronger model always uses credits.
3.2 Premium credits. Each paid plan includes a monthly allowance of premium credits per workplace, as listed on the pricing page. Credits are used by stronger models, longer or heavier work (for example research, agents, images, long documents) and anything run on a stronger model. The model chooser shows the credit cost of a typical task before you pick a model.
3.3 Foundational. The Foundational plan includes 50 everyday AI requests a month on the default model and no premium credits. Foundational workplaces cannot buy credits.
3.4 Buying credits. Paid plans can buy credit packs. Packs, and any overage on a plan that allows it, are charged at cost plus card processing and tax, each shown before you pay. There is no platform fee on AI credits or overage. Bought credits expire 12 months after purchase; included credits end with the month. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable outside the workplace.
3.5 At a limit, never a surprise charge. When everyday AI reaches its fair-use limit, or premium credits run out, Monocle AI slows down and offers more credits (ask an administrator, or buy a pack where you have permission). Nothing is charged without a click by someone with permission to buy. Administrators can set per-person limits.
3.6 Fair use. Fair-use limits protect the Service for everyone. We publish the current limits on the plan cards. We may change them on notice.
4. Your own AI keys
4.1 On Max and Enterprise plans, a workplace may connect its own account with a supported AI provider. Requests then run under the workplace's own agreement with that provider, which governs that provider's processing.
4.2 Each AI call made on your own key uses 1 credit for the platform's handling of the call. Work that runs on our servers (for example images, embeddings or indexing) still uses normal credits.
4.3 Keys for providers that may train on customer data are refused when entered, and Google AI connects only through your own Google Cloud project.
4.4 You are responsible for your own provider account, its charges and its terms.
5. Confirmation before changes
Monocle AI asks the person to confirm before it creates, changes or deletes records in the workplace from chat. You are responsible for what you confirm.
6. Output
6.1 Check it. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and may resemble content produced for others. Review output before relying on it or sending it to anyone.
6.2 No professional advice. Monocle AI does not give legal, tax, financial or medical advice, and is not a substitute for a qualified professional.
6.3 Ownership. As between you and us, you own your inputs and, to the extent the law allows, the output Monocle AI produces for you. We claim no rights in it beyond the license in the Terms needed to provide the Service.
6.4 Your responsibility. You are responsible for how you use output, including making sure it does not infringe others' rights and complies with the law and the Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Privacy and access
7.1 Monocle AI uses workplace content only to answer the person who asked, inside their workplace, and only content that person is allowed to see.
7.2 Our staff do not read your AI conversations unless your workplace approves it.
7.3 Prompt Shield warns you, on your device, if something you type looks like a password or other credential. It does not store or send what it finds. It reduces risk; it does not guarantee that sensitive data is never sent.
7.4 Retention. AI providers may keep requests and responses for a limited time set by their terms, to detect abuse and keep the service safe. They do not use them to train models. We do not promise that a provider keeps nothing, and deleting a workplace in Monocle Prism does not delete a provider's own safety copy within that time. Monocle Prism keeps conversations while the workplace exists; a person or administrator cannot currently delete an individual conversation. Usage records (the model, amount, feature and time, not the text of requests or replies) are kept as billing records.
7.5 Google user data is handled as described in the Google user data section of the Privacy Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Changes and availability
AI features depend on outside providers and may change, slow down or be unavailable. We may add, change or retire models and features. If we remove a model you chose, Monocle AI falls back to another available model.
